Through advocacy and support of K-12 scientific education and the continuous promotion of San Diego’s world-class colleges and universities, BIOCOM is committed to creating a biotechnology/healthcare workforce that can fuel innovation and drive regional economic prosperity.

BIOCOM Online Workforce Center

The BIOCOM Online Workforce Center was created to help educate the region’s talent pool about the skills necessary to fill life science positions. The site offers information on careers in the life science industry, links to local learning institutions and industry member websites, along with a comprehensive listing of local and national resources. The center also showcases a multimedia presentation that promotes biotechnology to individuals with limited knowledge of the life science industry.

BIOCOM works closely with local universities, colleges, and other academic institutions to partner on professional development courses targeting the biotechnology, healthcare, medical technology, and pharmaceutical industries.
