Blog Post: Do You Have What It Takes To Be A Female Deputy Sheriff?
posted Tuesday, July 31, 2007 10:59 AM
Are you a woman interested in becoming a deputy sheriff, but a little intimidated that it's a "man's world"? Well worry no more, the Sheriff's Department will hold a FREE seminar for women interested in learning more about the job, the hiring process and the opportunities for advancement.
Why just have a job when you can have an exciting and rewarding career with stability and great benefits? Do I have to be big and strong? What's it like working in a jail? How can I prepare for the academy? What are the promotional opportunities? How will this career fit in with my family? My lifestyle? These questions, along with many others, will be answered by women currently working as deputy sheriffs. Join us on TUESDAY, AUGUST 7TH, 6-8 PM at the John F. Duffy Administrative Center, 9621 Ridgehaven Court. The seminar is free, but space is limited. To reserve your seat call 858-974-2336 or email us at recruit@sdsheriff.org. Please include your name and phone number.
