Blog Post: The Sheriff's Department Is Hiring Deputies!

Have you ever considered a career in law enforcement or detentions?  The Sheriff's Department is currently hiring two classifications of deputies.  Law enforcement deputies work patrol out of one of nine stations located throughout the county. Detentions deputies work in one of seven jails.  In addition to great benefits and a stable retirement, both classifications have many opportunities for advancement. 

The first step for either classification is to take the written exam.  Exams are offered several times each month in Kearny Mesa and once a month in Vista and South Bay.  A practice exam and a list of test dates, times and locations can be found on our website www.joinsdSHERIFF.net.
