Blog Post: NextWork - Operation RECHARGE!

Have you ever arrived at work, put down your briefcase, poured a cup of coffee, and sat down at your desk only to suddenly WAKE UP?? You look around and say to yourself, "How did I get HERE?" I'm not talking about physically, how did I arrive at work today .... I mean in the metaphorical sense - How did I get HERE - in THIS JOB - in THIS CITY - doing THIS WORK???

Too often we find ourselves doing a job we may be good at but we don't really enjoy very much. There's this nagging sense that there must be something more - we feel as if we're missing something. 

We all have responsibilities; bills to pay, families to support, things to do. Those obligations have often led us to the jobs we have and we just continue - day in, day out - and don't take the time to really consider if we're doing what we were meant to do! That kind of introspection usually comes during a time of crisis - we get laid off, the company downsizes, we face a lifestyle change such as death or divorce - whatever the circumstance, it does give us the opportunity to push that PAUSE button, step back and take a second look.
