Profile: icansandiego

Recognizing the significant impact obesity prevention can have on reducing the prevalence of type 2 diabetes, the San Diego Diabetes Coalition, Community Health Improvement Partners, the San Diego County Childhood Obesity Initiative and the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency worked together to develop icansandiego, a grassroots prevention campaign capable of educating the public on diabetes, diabetes prevention, and obesity prevention by promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Mission: To decrease the prevalence of prediabetes, obesity and type 2 diabetes by improving healthy eating habits and increasing physical activity.
