PROGRAMS/DESCRIPTION:

Diverse Emerging Vendor Outreach Program (DEVO) - Award winning procurement program with the City of San Diego,San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, The Port of San Diego, The San Diego County Water Authority and the Metropolitan Water District.

International Trade Delegations with Mexico and the Port of San Diego.

"Viva El Mariachi Festival", annual mariachi concert that attracts about 5,000 people.

Monthly Networking Mixers, with attendance of 200 business owners and professionals.

Scholarship Program - Since its inception, the scholarship program has granted nearly $400,000 in scholarships to students pursuing a higher education.

Workshops - Quarterly business workshops

Latina Conference, Mujeres con Exito - In conjunction with San Diego MANA and the Union Tribune, this conference brings 300 Latina professionals together to learn and network.

Quarterly Newsmagazine - Magazine that informs the members on current business and chamber issues.

Annual Business Referral Directory - Annual directory that lists all members and serves as a resource for the buseinss community.

Member to Member Discounts - Special affiliatino programs for members that include discounts on health insurance plans, web design, etc.

AWARDS

In 2000, 2001 and 2002, the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce named the SDCHCC the "Large Hispanic Chamber of the Year, Region I."

In 2002 the SDCHCC received the "Minority Business Advocate of the Year" Award from the Greater San Diego Business Development Council.

In 2002, two prestigious awards from the California Chamber of Commerce: "Program of the Year" and "Website of the Year."

In 1998, 2001, and 2003 the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce named the SDCHCC "Large Chamber of the Year."
