Company History

TERI, Inc. has had the same goal since its inception in 1980 - to improve the quality of life for children and adults with developmental and learning disabilities nationwide. We have made significant strides toward this goal, and continue to set new standards, through establishing and operating model programs; conducting applied research in best practice procedures; and offering training and consultation to professionals, families, and other community members.

TERI, Inc. specializes in serving individuals who have needs which cannot be met by other existing programs, which includes services to persons who have profound mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, brain trauma, severe behavioral disorders, dual diagnosis, and learning disabilities.

The agency has been cited as a model program in the State of California for the quality of services it provides to this population. As a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) California Corporation, the agency relies on donations from the community and foundations in order to continue to set standards and ensure quality of life to this population.

Mission Statement

To improve the life quality for children and adults with developmental and learning disabilities and their families nationwide through research in treatment methodologies and the establishment of model programs which will set new standards for educational, therapeutic, and training services in this field.

Vision

To become a nationally acclaimed institute for groundbreaking research in treatment methodologies that can be disseminated globally providing life-altering options for individuals whose severe developmental, behavioral and learning disabilities impact their ability to learn, form relationships, and meet their maximum potential in life.

Across the Life Span individuals with developmental and learning disabilities will continue to learn and grow.  As their needs change, they require a team of professionals who are committed to their individual health and happiness.  TERI has the vision, the expertise and the dedication it takes to support children and adults with developmental disabilities throughout all the stages of their lives.  We are currently seeking additional team members to join us in making a difference in the life of an individual with a developmental or learning disability.
