Who We Are Let Us Tell You a Little Story . . . Once upon a time in 1985, we were known as Multilingual Translations, Inc., a little company located in San Diego, California. Our firm was started by a Spaniard named Miguel who was fresh out of college and looking for a way to make a quick buck while attending law school. He set out for Tijuana with 200 bucks and an idea and came back across the border with some cheap letterhead and a lot of enthusiasm. And so Multilingual Translations was born. . . . Over twenty years later, he and 50 dedicated staff members are now known as Local Concept. We're a company that has helped to revolutionize the localization industry by assisting clients all over the globe in their efforts to release smart, accurate and efficient products in markets as diverse as Mongolia and Lapland. Our mission is a simple one. We're here to help you create a truly global product that looks and feels as though it were created in the country or region in which you are planning to sell it. At the same time, Local Concept also provides multicultural marketing services. From the first time you call our offices, you'll notice how uniquely we operate. From the very beginning, we provide a client-preference form so you can decide how you want to communicate, whether by email or phone, and what time of day is best for us to contact you. We commit to your project without a lot of bureaucracy. You have one point of contact, a program manager, who is assigned to you specifically to make things simple. We also put in place a dedicated, fulltime team of localizers, engineers, desktop publishers and copywriters. We control our own production resources, which means we can start production oftentimes the very same day you request it giving your dedicated PM has the ability to quickly adapt to project changes or modifications.
