SCEDC ServicesMission:The South County Economic Development Council (SCEDC), a non-profit organization, was formed in 1989 by a group of South San Diego County business and community leaders. SCEDC objectives/goals within the South San Diego County region include:
Services:As part of its efforts to advance Economic Development in the South County region, South County Economic Development Ccouncil organizes seminars and bus tours, advertises in targeted publications, participates in trade shows, does business follow-ups, as well as other economic enhancement activities on a continuing basis. South County EDC distributes several newsletters and publications to residents and business owners in the South San Diego region (as well as to selected entities from outside the region) on a bi-monthly basis. South County EDC organizes an Economic Summit on an annual basis. This event gathers national, State, and local leaders from the United States, Mexico, and Canada to discuss and explore the needs of the region as the next century approaches.
