Jobing Description

Check-in and check-out guests and respond to inquires and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all SOPs and LSOPs.

- Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
- Pre-register, block reservations and when necessary make future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies.
- Handle guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquires in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, check cashing, safety boxes, etc.
- Cancel room reservations according to procedure.
- Treat customers in a professional and courteous manner according to procedures.
-Teach and Lead a team of skilled staff to do all of the above exceptionally well.
-Coach, counsel, review team members.
-Do schedules and assist with payroll and benefit questions.

Skills / Requirements

Experience: Experience required by position is from three months to one full year of employment in a related position with this Company or other organizations.

Skills and Abilities: Requires a working knowledge of the Front Desk aspect of select service properties, policies or operations and a general knowledge of the hotel. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Computer literate. Valid drivers license. Previous cash handling experience. Ability to communicate effectively with the public and associates. Food & Beverage permit, where applicable (TIPs). Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction. Read, write clearly and speak English fluently and precisely. Ability to operate computer systems as required within the hotel.

Hours Required: 8 hour shift; Scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Must be flexible and highly motivated.
