POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Executive Vice President of Clinical Services is responsible for fostering and ensuring the presence and utilization of the highest standards of clinical practices throughout MHS. Under the direction of the President, the Executive Vice President of Clinical Services is responsible for overseeing MHS Divisions, Quality Improvement and Professional Development Departments. The Executive Vice President of Clinical Services serves as a member of the Executive Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLITIES:
* Oversees clinical practices and standards for Mental Health Systems.
o Establishes and monitors MHS Clinical Standards.
o Identifies clinical needs for MHS and individual programs, works with Training and Education Department to meet the training needs of clinical staff.
o Acts as a clinical resource to programs and serves as a clinical consultant as necessary and when requested.
o Educates and trains on applicable Evidence Based Practices (EBP) for MHS Divisions and aids in implementation.
o Oversees risk management of clinically related incidents.
o Develops policies on clinical standards, including charting and documentation requirements, as appropriate for each MHS Division.
* Oversees evaluation and research for MHS.
o Acts as a liaison between Research Consultants and MHS.
o In conjunction with Researchers, the Medical Director and Senior Vice Presidents, identifies potential research studies.
o Aids in implementation and development of systems to collect data for programs and upon collection of data, supports Leadership Team and program staff in utilizing information for Continuous Quality Improvement projects.
* Responsible for development and oversight of the Internship Program for MHS.
o Oversees the relationships with clinical educational institutions to recruit and monitor interns.
o Reviews and approves guidelines on standards for training of clinical interns.
o Establishes policies and procedures regarding utilization of clinical interns in programs.
* Oversees the Senior Vice Presidents and ensures clinical and fiscal compliance of programs.
* Provides leadership and direction in the training and implementation of the Clinical Pillars of MHS.
* Oversees the Electronic Health Record implementation.
* Acts as a liaison between MHS and outside agencies, including contractual agencies, partners, governmental agencies, community, and professional organizations regarding clinical and treatment issues.
* Conducts regular community outreach to educate providers, stakeholders and potential clients about MHS clinical and treatment programs.

Skills / Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
* Must have a Master's Degree or Ph.D. in behavioral health or similar field from an accredited institution.
* Must be licensed as a MFT, LCSW, Psy.D. or Ph.D. in the state of California.
* Four years experience supervising clinical staff in the provision of therapy services and programming.
* Ten years experience in the behavioral health field with at least five years in a leadership/management position.
* Experience in program design and implementation.
