Summary: Provide daily care and enrichment for shelter animals as well as general information to the public. Work closely with both adoption and behavior counselors to insure the best possible adoptions and introductions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBLITIES: Includes the following, however other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITES: No direct supervision but has the responsibility for volunteers working in the animal care and adoption areas. Skills / Requirements

EDUCATIONS, SKILL, EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to complete Level I training, provided by the society, within 6 months of employment. Working knowledge of animal breeds, general care and behavior related information helpful. Have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Valid CA Drivers License required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Individual will frequently be required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 pounds for situations of restraining or moving animals and lifting food and animal care supplies.
