Jobing Description
Summary:
This position located in San Diego, CA., will be responsible for managing the follow up of weekly orders per customer. This candidate will provide sales support, sales analysis and customer service for the company. This position may involve travel for food shows and sales meetings. Strong finance and sales experience a definite plus.
Essential Job Functions:
Timely delivery of all orders, updates production scheduling, warehouse and logistics etc.
Assists in order entry during busy or holiday season.
Verify invoices (prices, promotions).
Assist as needed on AR late payments and/or deductions.
Develop budget and analysis for staff.
Compile monthly sales statistics per customer/region.
Prepare sales forecasts per quarter, per customer, per item (source sales managers, prior year sales, items on promotion etc.)
Verify broker commissions prepared by accounting.
Follow sample requests and good execution/shipment.
Assist in all preparation of all customer and broker mailings.
Update price list in computer and in customer file.
File important documents in broker/customer files (all pertinent emails from sales mgrs).
Assist Sales mangers in details surrounding National Account Presentation.
Update weekly sales and product meetings, print follow up.
Retail Link-to audit sales for Sam's and prepare database (after certification).
Prepare buy documents for clubs.
Prepare Power Point/Excel presentations for customer review during sales manager presentation.
New item presentation sheets for trade.
Working with Hula Girl or art director in all marketing functions; EG new packaging, point of sale, sell sheets.
Assist in local trade shows, preparation, execution and follow ups (assistance might be necessary from time to time)
Update company's website.
Club demo set up and monitor accruals and expenses.
Skills / Requirements
Skills:
BA or BS Degree in Marketing and or Finance/Accounting (preferred).
Experience as a Product and/or Marketing Manager, ideally in the Food Industry.
Effectively communicate in an efficient, professional manner with multiple departments.
Ability to quickly recognize new opportunities that are closely aligned with the business.
Ability to prepare and effectively present marketing and business information in detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork qualities.
Ability to develop project plans, set milestones and meet timelines.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. In addition, knowledge of ERP, & MAS 200.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to organize time and priorities to complete multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work organized and structured even under time pressure.
