Job: Program Coordinator

Home Start, a leader in providing family strengthening services in San Diego County for over 35 years is seeking an experienced coordinator to oversee planning and implementation of the ARRA Program (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act). The coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations of program activities including:

>Facilitating goal setting, planning and implementation of team responsibilities
>Building and maintaining team cohesion
>Overseeing and supervising staff
>Participating in recruiting, hiring and training of staff and volunteers
> Ensuring accurate and timely collection and reporting of data from team in accordance with contract specifications
> Reviewing and monitoring case files for accuracy and contract compliance
>Attending and participating in team and staff meetings
>Participating in community, group and/or service collaborations as appropriate

Bachelors in social work or related human services field and supervisory experience required. Must be culturally sensitive to community and individual family needs, have demonstrated experience in family-based services working with low-income families, and knowledge of community resources. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for the position. Must be computer literate, mission focused and a team player.
