Jobing Description
Provide support to providers and patients.
Review medication refill requests, consult with providers and pharmacists, and authorize requests. Review laboratory results and ensure appropriate action is initiated by providers and support staff. Administer medications and immunizations. Provide staff education and assist the clinical trainers in the development and implementation of clinical training programs. Perform independent triage and communicate with the clinician regarding actions taken. Assist with clinical and compliance audits. Assist with peer review. Participate with the EHR team in identifying changes or enhancements necessary for the EHR system and make recommendations for change. Skills / Requirements
Current California RN license and good standing with the Board of Registered Nurses.
Current CPR certification. Minimum one year experience in acute care nursing and/or outpatient clinic or medical office experience preferred. Current ACLS preferred. Long periods of sitting/standing/walking: up to 90% of the workday may consist of standing/walking; up to 50% of the workday may be spent sitting. Ability to reach, bend, climb, stoop/kneel, push/pull, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Lifting requires full range of motion. Up to 25% of the workday may include lifting and carrying objects. Up to 5% of the workday may include pushing or pulling equipment, drawers, carts, etc. Up to 5% of the workday may include stooping or kneeling. Up to 25% of the workday may be spent bending at the waist to pick up items and assist with procedures. Repetitive hand movement: use and view PC, writing, holding charts, tool, supplies and other items. Normal tactile feeling required to perform duties, including taking patient’s pulse.
