Job: Systems Operator / Internal Customer Service

Jobing Description
Excellent opportunity for an entry level position, Internal Help Desk Support for domestic and multi-international locations. Perform and monitor system processes. Troubleshoot and solve application issues. Respond to end-user calls and emails. Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must. Ability to nurture users and willingness to answer questions at various end-user skill levels. Position is 40 hours per week.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Mondays (off)
Tuesdays to Fridays (9:00 am to 6:00 pm)
Saturdays (5:00 pm to 2:00 am - 1 time per month)
Sundays (5:00 pm to 2:00 am)
Hours and days are subject to change (e.g. month-end backup, semi-annual inventory). A majority of work hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with alternative modified work hrs 1-3 times per moth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform system back-up and maintenance procedures.
* Monitor completion of automated system processes.
* Perform recovery procedures as directed.
* Assist in IT special projects as time permits.
* Log incidents and maintain help desk database.
* Handle inbound calls and ensure customer satisfaction through entire transaction.
* Answer user software questions via telephone and email.
* Research, provide, and document accurate solutions to user problems on a timely basis.
* Effectively escalate and document all support calls for which resolution at this level is not possible.
* Focus on application-based.
* Very limited work with networking / PC maintenance.


Skills / Requirements
* Experience with i5/ AS400 operations: back up, monitoring jobs, working with output queues.
* Experience with JD Edwards and i5/AS400 (preferred but not required).
* Experience with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience with providing system support by telephone.
* Be well organized and able to handle multiple tasks.
* Ability to establish priories effectively.
* Must have excellent customer service skills and exceptional phone etiquette.
* Self-motivated individual with optimistic attitude.
* Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work independently and with a group.
* Able to communicate well (orally and written) in English. Spanish proficiency (prefered but not required).
* Dependable in both production and attendance.
* Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
