Job: Sales Manager

The Hilton San Diego/Del Mar is looking for an experienced hotel professional to solicit and manage Corporate, Group, East and West Coast, State Government and State Association business travel market segments to achieve and exceed budgeted revenue goals. Maintain weekly activity goals and revenue quotas. Solicit prospective corporate/group business.

Job Duties:

Keep accurate records. Follow up on reader boards. Make a minimum of 50 sales calls per week (telephone and/or off-site). Prospect all potential avenues for new business. Contact representative of perspective market segments to solicit business for hotel. Analyze requirements of function, outline available hotel facilities and service offered and quote prices. Complete all necessary correspondence for operating departments in order to execute the functions as contracted. Service all groups while in-house as required by level of commitment in contracts. Complete all week ending, and month ending sales reports. Complete history and credit checks on all groups as required by local policy (2 years history). Work closely with Convention Services/Catering Sales/ Reservations to ensure all contractual agreements with the customer have been met. Maintain professional relationships with customers in order to continue to re-book their business and penetrate business opportunities that each of them may control. Ensure proper billing. Assist in planning and participating in sales blitz. Maintain a good working relationship with other departments, associates and guests. Attend all mandatory meetings. Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager.

The Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Salary determined on work experience.

Necessary Experience:

* Minimum 2 years service sales experience or a Bachelor’s Degree
* 1-2 years Hotel experience preferred
* Valid Driver’s License
