Home Start, founded in 1972, has been dedicated to preventing child maltreatment and providing treatment to victims of abuse and neglect. Today, Home Start reaches at-risk children right where it counts - in the home, and provides services to those who require immediate, comprehensive solutions to ensure their safety and healthy development.
We are currently seeking a part-time therapist to provide home-based mental health treatment and case management services to client families under licensed clinical supervision. Responsibilities include: >Short term and/or long term individual, therapeutic services to children and their families including therapy, play therapy, counseling, case management, crisis intervention and advocacy. >Parent education. >Case management services including assessment, identification of client needs and goals on case plan with ongoing monitoring and follow-up progress toward goals. Link clients with community resources where necessary. >Collect, record, and maintain client and service information in a timely and accurate manner. Skills / Requirements
Master's in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other related field, and license-eligible in California. Experience in providing therapeutic services to diverse population in counseling or social work setting and knowledge of early childhood development and family systems required. Knowledge of PCIT a plus. Must be willing to provide in-home services.
