Job: Child Development Counselor - Children

The San Diego Center for Children is looking for Child Development Counselors (CDCs) for our residential treatment programs serving emotionally disturbed children.

Join our innovative, trauma-sensitive program focused on healing emotional trauma and building therapeutic relationships. Work with a multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatrists, therapists, parents, social workers, teachers and child care staff.

Job Responsibilities: provide daily care and supervision for emotionally disturbed children in a residential treatment facility; facilitate groups and daily living skills activities; transportation of residents to community activities.

Full time and on-call positions available in our Children’s programs; Day, Evening and Overnight shifts available.

Requirements: BA degree and residential experience preferred; Bilingual preferred; Must be at least 21 years of age in order to meet regulations regarding eligibility to drive company vehicles.
