Position Summary We are looking to hire a Quality Inspector for our facility in Oceanside, CA. In this role, you will operate coordinate measurement machines and other automated measurement equipment to perform automated inspections of fabricated parts; perform various dimensional and visual inspections of materials and products; report results of inspections; and develop mew methods and techniques in the Inspection area to improve processes and the quality of products. Position Duties and Responsibilities Operates coordinate measurement machines and other automated measurement equipment to perform automated inspections of fabricated parts, based on product drawings and specifications. Sets up and performs automated inspections of fabricated parts and tooling, using a coordinate measurement machine or other automated inspection equipment. Set-ups and performs mechanical and electronic dimensional inspection of various products. Performs in-process and final visual inspection on all product lines. Set-ups and operates air gage equipment to measure products. Calibrates mechanical and electronic inspection equipment. Utilizes sampling plans as required by specification. Analyzes and reports inspection results. Performs various laboratory tests including, but not limited to, surface roughness and hardness testing. Performs routine maintenance of equipment and tooling, including preventive maintenance and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area. Leads the development of new methods and techniques to improve processes and quality of products. Independently performs development activities to establish methods to produce required product and material quality. Trains others in various inspection methods and techniques.
