JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Research Coordinator and Data Analyst, the Research Associate will provide general data management and analyses services for the Center-s SOCE study and ongoing research projects. This individual will provide support to the participating clinic sites in the use of the SOCE data entry system and forms. Perform data analyses using SPSS, Teleform, Access, R & R Report Writer, and Visual FoxPro software as needed. Develop new databases and data entry systems, and modify existing versions, using Access and Visual FoxPro. The employee will assist in the compilation of data for presentations and reports and provide support during external trainings. The employee will also assist in the development of reports and publications. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS required in position related discipline with 2 years experience or 4 years experience in a research setting

Masters preferred

Experience in research form design, methodology and quality assurance of research data

General understanding of computer software and hardware and familiarity with PC and Macintosh platforms

Proficiency and experience essential in use of word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), familiarity with databases (Microsoft Access, FoxPro or Filmmaker), preparation of presentations (PowerPoint) and statistical software (SPSS, SAS)

Working knowledge of specific content of study related research and/or services

Proficient in Internet usage and conducting literature searches using search engines such as Psych Info and Pub Med
