Job: Material Handler III - Lead (California Location)

SmartScrubs, a division of SmartHealth, Inc, offers a huge selection of brand name discount scrubs and other professional apparel for health care, dental, veterinary, high-tech and laboratory professionals.

We are looking for a Material Handler III - Lead . Print orders and balance work load between picking and packing to insure packages are shipped correctly and within 5 business days of printing. Troubleshoot problem orders. Manage retail store replenishment orders and large account orders.

Essential functions of the job (in order of importance):
1. Organize tickets prior to picker arrival. Troubleshoot Call Center concerns.

2. Assign tickets to pickers to track output and insure orders ship within established parameters. Review and distribute daily picker report. Balance labor between pickers and packers to meet the ticket volume on a daily basis.

3. Insure all Premium Shipping orders are processed within established parameters. Communicate problems in a timely manner to Call Center for resolution.

4. Manage key account and retail store order processing. Trouble shoots problem tickets.

5. Set an example of accountability and professional maturity.

6. Take responsibility for any work assigned to meet the needs of the business.

7. Ability to travel via plane to corporate headquarters in Phoenix on occasion.

8. Able to work within a varied weekly schedule – weekends and overtime on occasion.

Requirements:
Education: Some College or equivalent work experience
Experiences (work or education): Distribution Center pick / pack catalog / web environment, Team Leader
Characteristics: Energetic, Organized, Flexible, Leader, Focused, Self Motivated
Skills Needed: Prioritize and plan work, Multi-Task, Problem Solve, Communicate Effectively – written and verbal, Bi-lingual, Ability to match alphanumeric characters accurately, Computer Literate, Able to stand, lift, climb ladder and squat up to 8 hours in a day, 5 days per week. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds multiple times in a day. Move product via rolling racks, pallet jacks, and via lifting individual cartons.
