Job: Overnight Childcare Counselor

Awake overnight positions available. Supervise, educate, counsel and care for S.E.D. boys receiving treatment in a residential facility located in North County. Provide a safe, secure and stable environment. Assist residents in their AM routines, including meals, recreation and independent living skills. Help residents develop more socially acceptable behaviors. Responsibilities also include preparing and dispensing medication and cleaning.

Qualified applicants need have education in the field or prior experience with the SED population.

For over 40 years, we have been providing services to youth, specifically emotionally disturbed and at-risk adolescent males (ages 11-17). Minimum Qualifications: Experience with S.E.D. boys, childhood and/or psychology classes, and/or like facility necessary. Ability to write and communicate clearly and professionally. Genuine interest in helping teens with severe emotional and behavioral problems. Good DMV; must be at least 21 years old.

Only candidates that are local or willing to drive to North County will be considered for the position. We process fingerprints and require clearance before candidates can work. Preemployment physicals required. Some positions require driving and DMV driving records are reviewed.
