Job: Staff Accountant

Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Staff Accountant will compile financial information and assist in preparation of reports, ensuring the accounts are reconciled and corrections are made on a timely basis. This position will prepare year-end audit schedules and respond to auditor requests. The person in this position will have knowledge of the operation of the assigned company(ies) and will ensure that the accounting reflects the operation of the entity.

Skills/ Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience: BA in Finance and/or Accounting and three (3) years experience as a staff accountant, analysis of budget and fiscal performance, and compliance. Will accept an Associate's Degree with a minimum of six years experience performing similar work. Must have experience with account reconciliation and income statement preparation.

Market Education and Experience: BA in Finance and/or Accounting and a minimum of 5 years experience as in the minimum requirements.

Preferred Education and Experience: BA in Finance and/or Accounting with 8 years experience working with the general ledger, financial statements, budgets and financial analysis. 3 of those years would be working in a nonprofit agency.

Other:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data base management
• Ability to travel to affiliated sub-contractors
• Must have experience working with accounting software such as AccPac.
