Job: Information and Referral Specialist

Position Summary: This member of the Guest Services team in the Village maintains a professional, courteous atmosphere to all visitors, clients and staff. Follows agency policy and procedure regarding client/staff confidentiality. Determines nature of business and announces visitors to appropriate clients and personnel. Provides information, direction, clerical support, and referrals to Outreach Services; is the central source of communication for Village staff, volunteers and guests.

Skills/ Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalency. Plus one year experience with high volume phone calls.

Market Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalency. Plus one year customer service and one year PBX multi-line phone system/receptionist.

Preferred Education and Experience: High school diploma and 12 units in Human Services Training. Two years as receptionist in fast paced environment and one year in social services

Other:
Typing certificate (within last six months)
Knowledge of office systems and modern equipment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
