Job: OUTSTANDING SAN DIEGO BIOTECH COMPANY SEEKS 5+ YEAR PATENT ATTORNEY

An outstanding San Diego Biotechnology Firm is currently seeking an experienced Patent Attorney to join their team. This new member will be responsible for the management and
development of the company's patent portfolio and will support the company's licensing and business development opportunities. Responsibilities will also include overseeing the operation, analysis and patentability of company discoveries and product candidates. The successful candidate will work with scientists to prepare, file and prosecute patent applications, ensure patent application and maintenance deadlines are met, implement intellectual property strategies to enhance the company's patent portfolio and licensing opportunities as well as participate in licensing negotiations and business development.

The successful candidate will have a a minimum 5 years of experience with patent preparation and prosecution, be registered to practice before the USPTO, possess a JD degree and be a member in good standing of at least one state bar (California preferred).
This candidate will also have a Masters or Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Chemistry or related field, as well as excellent critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication/presentation skills.
