for you. Help make the vocational dreams of persons with Developmental Disabilities come true through your support and training at their job." Employment Training Specialist (ETS)/Vocational Assistant (VA) also known as a Job Coach you will learn to: * provide on-going client vocational support, guidance, and training to persons with developmental disabilities (i.e., autism, mental retardation, epilepsy and cerebral palsy). * develop and implement individualized training and support strategies for clients. * maintain a database in the management of assigned caseload. * prepare and process ongoing documentation (i.e., client case notes, payroll related documents, etc). * write and facilitate Individual Habilitation Service Plan (IHSP) meetings as needed. * implement behavior modification as necessary in collaboration with supervisor and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). * initiate and maintain positive relationships with clients, employers, co-workers, and IDT. * provide clients training to ensure their understanding and compliance with PWI safety policies and procedures. * demonstrate compliance with Department of Rehabilitation, Regional Center, DOL, CARF and other applicable regulations. * provide exceptional internal and external customer service. * provide services consistent with organizational values and mission. * build awareness of the abilities of person with developmental disabilities and lesson barriers to employment opportunities. ** these are entry level position and PWI will provide on the job training for all required duties. Skills / Requirements
* Not all positions require the use of reliable transportation.
**If applying for a position that does require the use of reliable transportation necessary insurance, valid CA drivers license and clean DMV report is needed. * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Independent and self-directed. Collaborative teamwork style. * Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to remain flexible with all job duties. * Professional manner, positive attitude and appropriate attire per dress code. * Ability to properly lift and move (i.e., as required by the job) up to Forty (40) pounds. Opportunities for advancement. Full time, part time, on call position available with flexible schedules. Reimbursement for mileage expenses related to work performed on behalf of PWI. Schedule: Varies Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Must be able to successfully complete CPR and First Aid Training during the orientation process and update annually.
