Through your support and training at their job you, will make a tremendous impact in their lives." RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist clients in development of problem solving, assertiveness and decision-making skills that will assist with successful work in the community. * Assist clients in the improvement of understanding and readiness for work in the community. * Assessment of individual skills with respect to readiness for placement in the community. * Record keeping, database management, and ongoing documentation. Considerable paperwork is a necessary and important part of the job. * Implementation and ongoing development of agency assessment services. * Responsible for overall referral development to the assessment program. * Teach work-related nutrition and/or food skills as appropriate and necessary to the work environment. * Teach behaviors with an emphasis on socially appropriate behavior and interpersonal skills. * Assist in the enhancement of personal health, including physical, mental, and hygiene. * Provide information about the labor market, training opportunities and the world of work. * Facilitate staff/employer/community/agency relations. * Facilitate interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings for all parties regarding assessment services. * Maintain confidentiality of all PWI related information. * Maintain reliable transporation, necessary insurance valid CA drivers lisense and clean DMV
report is needed. * Minimum one year experience in direct service provision to persons with disabilities. * Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred. * Bilingual preferred. * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Independent and self-directed. Collaborative teamwork style. * Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to remain flexible with all job duties. * Professional manner, positive attitude and appropriate attire per dress code. * Ability to properly lift and move (i.e., as required by the job) up to Forty (40) pounds. Full time. Wage: Based upon position, qualifications, experience, and education. Schedule: 8:00am to 4:00pm Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Must be able to successfully complete CPR and First Aid Training during the orientation process and update annually. Reimbursement for mileage expenses related to work performed on behalf of PWI.
