Job: SR Buyer/Planner

Leading manufacturing company in Poway seeks a Sr Buyer. Responsibilities to include: contact suppliers, obtains quotes and bids, makes awards and reviews and placed orders and annual contracts for commodities. Utilization of Kanban sizing techniques through evaluation of material usage, space constraints and shelf life of supplier selection. Participates in research and development projects, MRB and product development teams. Qualified candidate will have 8-10 years recent purchasing and minimum of 2 years in purchasing components, circuit boards, custom metal fabricated parts and services. Must have the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and BOMs. Computerized MRP experience and intermediate to advanced Excel a MUST, Access a plus. CPM, APICS or APP a plus.
