Jobing Description
The mission and purpose of this position are to compassionately deliver high-quality service and basic patient care in a professional, caring and cost-effective manner. The Shuttle Van Driver transports patients to and from medical facilities in a company wheelchair lift equipped van.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Transports patients to and from vehicles in a timely manner • Utilizes maps to locate hospitals and other medical facilities • Completes AMR driver trip tickets on a daily basis • Responsible for knowing and using Standard “10” codes in radio transmission • Completes a mechanical checklist at the start of each shift • Reports mechanical problems to the garage • Completes the company Driver’s Training program • Responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures • Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service • Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories • Keeps records of trips and behavior or passengers • Must have the ability to work well with co-workers and the public • Must have effective oral and written communication skills APPLICATION PROCESS: Apply directly at 8808 Balboa Avenue, Suite 150, San Diego, CA 92123. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma • Valid Drivers License • Driving record in compliance with AMR’s policy regarding insurability • Functional literacy (oral and written) in English • 1-3 Months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience • CPR and the ability to provide basic first aid PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Multi-lingual • Physically fit • Experience in a healthcare, managed care, hospital Important Notes
