Jobing Description
A Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining and coordinating product releases and is the intermediary between Sales, Marketing, Development, Quality Assurance and Client Services. The Senior Product Manager develops detailed functional and technical specifications for each assigned product release. This person interacts with all departments within A-Life Medical to drive product releases based upon market needs. The Senior Product Manager reports to the Manager, Product Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Strategic and Tactical: o Assists in developing all elements of product messaging including value propositions, positioning, and key messages for A-Life Medical automated medical coding products that utilize Natural Language Processing. o Acts as the primary owner to define and drive the marketing requirements document (MRD) definition. Performs strategic research of competitive landscape, market dynamics, competitive products and technologies, gathers and synthesizes input from prospects, customers, and the market segment. Technical and Managerial: o Creates product marketing materials (collateral, data sheets, technical white papers, demos, brochures, case studies). o Ensures all A-Life Sales and A-Life channel partners are properly trained in the product(s) and markets. o Gathers customer input through various methods to ensure customer satisfaction. o Acts as a primary, detailed, hands-on expert for the product. Works closely with Customers, Sales, Engineering, and Client Services to create detailed release schedules, and as the primary resource for technical objection handling for Sales support. o Drives functional requirements for A-Life’s products through detailed knowledge of customer requirements, competitive benchmarking, and industry expertise. o Assists in the creation of detailed product specifications for Engineering. o Assists in the specification of the Information Architecture for the products. o Maintains regular interaction with Engineering to ensure product functionality is being developed according to the product specifications, and that product development milestones are met. Corporate Relations: o Represents the company to customers, and at trade shows and industry conventions. Skills / Requirements
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing or Business Management required. o Completion of Pragmatic Marketing programs highly desirable. Work Experience: o Minimum four years experience functioning as a software product manager, with at least four years experience in healthcare practice management or the managed care space. o Experience working in an environment utilizing Pragmatic Marketing processes and concepts high desirable. Technical Knowledge of: o Full understanding of product life-cycles and project management is required. Other Skills / Experience: o Excellent writing and presentation skills. o Superior analytical skills for assessing market opportunities and competition.
