Job: Clinical Laboratory Scientist

We are currently seeking a self motivated Clinical Lab Scientist ("CLS") to maintain a local clinic's lab on a full time basis. They are looking for candidates who are bright, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist I performs a variety of Clinical Laboratory procedures with an expected high degree of accuracy and in a timely manner including but not limited to running CBCs and chemistries for the Oncology and Hematology practice. Qualified candidates will understand and can be responsible for all of the state and federal regulations and can keep the lab organized. The ability to work well with doctors, patients and nurses is a must!

EXPECTATIONS
*Perform CBCs and Chemistries for an Oncology/Hematology practice
*Familiar with all State and Federal Regulations
*QC and Calibrate lab equipment
*Must be able to work independently but also within a team environment

REQUIRED
*Must possess a current and valid State of California Clinical Laboratory Technologist license, which is to be displayed in the Laboratory
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Biology, Microbiology, or other related science and satisfactory completion of a formal Clinical Laboratory Internship Program
*One-year experience as a Licensed Medical Technologist under a qualified director in a full service Clinical Laboratory
*Effective verbal and written communication skills
*Ability to work under routine and stressful situations in an accurate and timely manner
*Practical and current knowledge in all appropriate laboratory disciplines

PREFERRED
*Registration and/or certification in a state and/or nationally recognized professional *organization such as the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) is preferred
