RN Pediatrics in ER:
The position will be in North County, Mid-City, and East County. 8 HR shifts M-F; Weekends 10 HR shifts. Bilingual Highly Desired!

RN must perform accurate and complete triage assessments, comprehensive physical and emotional needs and reassessments as indicated. Plans patient care according to patient acuity and needs; imitates treatment per established standards of care and policies and procedures of ECC/hospital. Individualizes nursing interventions to meet the changing acuity, physical, developmental, environmental and psychosocial needs of the patient. Cares for patients with a wide variety of acuity levels and complexities of illnesses/injuries, sometimes under very busy conditions.

RN Pediatrics in Hema/Onc:
This will be a temporary full time opportunity lasting approximately 13 weeks M-F 8am-5pm.

Under general direction of a Director/Mgr/TL, the Hem/ONC RN is responsible for applying the nursing process in the care of pediatric patients ranging from neonate to teenagers. Plans and administers patient care across the continuum from ambulatory setting to the inpatient setting according to patient needs, established standards of care, and Hem/ONC policies and procedures within the interdisciplinary team.

RN will be required to initiate and administer IV therapies and sedation procedures as appropriate for the specific developmental age and size of the patients. Cares for post-operative patients. Safely maintains central lines, Hickmans and Port A catheters. Cares for patients with hematologic disorders such as Hemophilia, ITP, Sickle Cell Anemia and other Hemoglobanopathies. Provides pain management therapies appropriate for the age and developmental level of the patient.

*CA RN license
*BLS (ARA or ARC)
*PALS (ARA or ARC)
*previous Children's Hospital experience
*Bilingual highly desired
**experience in either ER/ICU and triage experience** OR **experience in HEM/ONC**
