Schedule: Full time - Benefits Eligible Shift: Days Hours: JOB SUMMARY: The Donor Services Officer, under the direction of Donor Services Supervisor, is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of restricted fund deposits, expenditures and releases from restriction, working with the Accounting department. This position assists with all donor gift recording and acknowledgement processes. In addition, the Donor Services Officer will work with the Donor Supervisor to ensure that all information management supports and sustains donor and department relations through accurate record keeping, correspondence, coding and appropriate audience extractions for solicitation, stewardship, and special projects. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate and at least three years of experience in a related field is required Knowledge of database structure, logic and terminology Ability to utilize personal computers for fundraising functions using database, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with various constituencies (donors, staff, Board, volunteers, community groups) Ability to write letters, reports and various business documents using appropriate standard document format, with accurate composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation Ability to maintain computer records, files and pertinent information in both a logical and orderly manner; good planning, organization and decision-making skills Ability to self-initiate, determine priorities and work independently to ensure efficient flow of work; ability to work under pressure and exercise good judgment in matters that may be urgent; resourcefulness in determining effective alternatives to current processes Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and private financial matters and personal information Skills / Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
