Job: Senior of Principal Hardware Engineer

The successful candidate must have recent, relevant experience in an electronic manufacturing environment. Will be responsible for overall hardware and software design and maintenance for the Guardian product line, which will include a mix of RF, digital, and analog circuitry as well as embedded, DSP, and Windows programming environments. Successful candidate will have total technical responsibility for the maintenance and enhancement of Datron Radio products. Responsibilities will include design, development and support of hardware for product enhancements which may include the addition of UHF front-end, P25 trunking capabilities and other enhancements.

Responsibilities include the ability to apply skills in the diagnosing and correcting of issues that arise during the development and maintenance of new and/or existing products and designs. Flexibility to move from cutting edge development to mundane tasks such as documenting cables and writing release notes. Responsibilities will include working with Product Manager to develop and adhere to schedule of deliverables in a friendly, cooperative, honest, and professional work environment.

This position requires a technical degree in Electrical Engineering; candidate must have at least 8 years experience in hardware design and development. Individual must be detail oriented, accurate, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to manage a variety of tasks and meet multiple demands in a dynamic atmosphere, in addition to working with all levels of personnel and thrive in a team oriented environment.
