* Triage patients as needed. * Check in and assess patients. * Complete physician’s orders. * Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Abilities: * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including medical group and hospital staff, patients, physicians, and the general public. * Assess and evaluate patients’ responses to services provided, treatment, and medication. * Maintain confidentiality of patients. * Prepare clear and concise reports. * Work independently in the absence of supervision. * Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. * Ability to prioritize according to medical necessity, work under time constraints, and adapt to physician preferences. * Multi-task. Skills:
* Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving. * Multi-tasking. Knowledge: * Principles of efficient and effective clinical care in the outpatient setting. * A variety of community resources. * Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations for nursing field. REQUIREMENTS: Knowledgeable regarding current Medicare and health plan regulations. Requires 2 years experience, current CA RN license, and CPR certification. Strong clinical (ICU, ER, Urgent Care) background preferred. A valid California driver’s license is required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, bend, reach, grasp, and pull charts. The employee must occasionally sit, squat/kneel, lift up to 25 lbs, and use wrist deviation, hand/wrist repetitions and manual dexterity. Specific vision and hearing required by the job includes close eye work, and normal hearing. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Centre for Health Care maintains a drug free workplace, and smoke free working environment. Employees are required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen. Smoking is permitted in designated areas outside of Centre offices. This position works in a well-lit, air-conditioned, busy clinical setting with moderate noise level. This position is frequently exposed to hazardous exposures, and may occasionally need personal protective equipment when in contact with patients. Important Notes
STATUS: Per Diem – must be available to work some evenings and some weekends
