Job: Senior Accountant

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for all accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing functions and general ledger. The Senior Accountant will assist in preparing monthly financial statements, year end audit, and other financial functions.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

• Supervises billing for Independent Living
• Supervises accounts payable and check distribution
• Reconciles all bank accounts to the bank statements, subsidiary journals and to the general ledger
• Prepares journal entries for month end closing
• Reconciles monthly balance sheet audit schedules
• Supervises the balancing of monthly billing reports
• Assists in preparation of year end audit
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Accounting

• BS Accounting Degree
• Minimum three to five years of experience with A/P, P/R and G/L, data entry, clerical support duties, and assisting the Director in the day to day coordination and operation of the department.
