Jobing Description
We are looking for a strong supervisor who can support our residential services (serving at-risk adolescent males) and ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations and company practices/policies. Our main office is in Vista and will be the employee's base; however, the facilities of oversight will be located in San Marcos.
Duties and responsibilities with be as follows: (1) Providing, assuring, overseeing supervision, safety, and structure in adherence to agency policies & practices for youth in designated facilities (residential homes). This position will initially support two houses (with up to 6 youth in each house). (2) Supervising staff assigned (presently up to 14) and/or working within the facilities, providing modeling & coaching, direction, oversite, and redirection / discipline, when necessary. (3) Maintaining & auditing facility compliance with all organizational standards and licensing regulations, monitoring reports and reporting in accordance with all applicable standards. (4) Oversee, follow, and complete documentation and reports relative to all components of the milieu treatment program for youth, coordinating as necessary with clinical staff to ensure that treatment plans are implemented appropriately and monitored in accordance with agency standards. (5) Support and respond to agency efforts with crisis inventions and emergency management - attending to the considerations, focus & integrity of the therapeutic process yet being able to utilize physical interventions, if necessary, to ensure a safe environment. (6) Represent the agency within the community (i.e. neighbors, law enforcement, social workers, parents) and during events/outings, maintaining good communications and actively responding to problems to ensure that our agency efforts are well represented and assist in rebuilding these relationships with youth. Skills / Requirements
Education and/or four years experience in mental health or social services in an administrative or supervisory capacity. Demonstrated experience overseeing, teaching &/or motivating others, knowledge of & ability to effectively intecede with responses to behavioral issues, knowledge of & or ability to understand / apply licensing protocol. Requires good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and work within agency standards of an harassment free environment. Must be able to do hands-on interventions, complete and pass agency training requirements (including ProAct & First Aid Certifications) and have a safe driving record (acceptable to our insurer). Must be accessible by pager for after hour emergencies.
