PROGRAM COORDINATOR GENERAL FUNCTION: Oversight and coordination of staffing, case management, housing, and daily operations for a residential program adhering to program policies and procedures. Complies with reports, documentation and policy implementation in a timely manner. MAJOR JOB SEGMENTS: Program 1.Provide regular, ongoing supervision to direct reports and monitor compliance with expectations. 2.Oversee all housing services, case management services, and all referrals and intakes. 3.Coordinate and lead staff in crisis prevention, intervention, and management. 4.Share on-call responsibilities with the Program Manager. 5.Monitor and assure compliance with IEU, CCL requirements and AFDC rate setting regulations. Communicate these requirements to staff. 6.Coordinate with the clinical department to implement resident Process Groups as indicated. Personnel/Other 1.Assure that volunteer resources are used effectively within the program. 2.Collaborate with supervisor to assure delivery of services in compliance with contract, including reports and database input. 3.Attend supervision and management meetings as assigned. 4.Participate in overall program development, strategies for growth and evaluation. 5.Implement policies, goals, priorities, standards, and procedures as developed by staff and approved by the Board of Directors. Training: 1.Develop, maintain and implement a written Training Plan for staff, including initial orientation, on-the-job training and on-going In-service Training. 2.Plan and facilitate CPI trainings for staff on a regular basis. 3.Act as troubleshooter to identify staff and program deficiencies and offer training solutions. Coordinate efforts with other staff department heads. Skills / Requirements
Graduate of an accredited university with a Masters Degree in behavioral science and a minimum of 2 years experience working with foster youth and/or residential programs. Must have a minimum of 2 years working experience as a Supervisor or Manager of staff and/or programs. Strong understanding of adolescent development and San Diego County private/public social service agencies required. Experience in a non-profit organization with government contracts. Strong time-management/organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication and interviewing skills. Able to set and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and staff. Competency in MS Office, email and use of internet. Must be proficient in English and have clear written and verbal communication skill; bilingual and bicultural preferred. Ability to comply with flexible schedule is required. Compliance with employment requirements, including but not limited to satisfactory results of a pre-employment health exam and TB test, fingerprinting for a background check, provision of clear DMV record, etc. Must qualify for approval by agency insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
