Job: Production Engineering Technician

Candidate will support consumables manufacturing line to ensure continuous operation.
Will perform operation, calibration, and preventative maintenance on all machines in the MicroArray lab. Candidate will work with machinery such as 3-axis gantry, ultrasonic welders, and other electro-mechanical machines. Prior experience using microscopes, pipettes, and metrology equipment is desired. Familiarity with Metrology, GD&T, FDA, cGMP, Plastics, Mechanical Design, Stepper & Servo Motors, PID Functions, & Fluid Systems are desired. Familiarity with Lean practices and Six Sigma methodology highly desired. May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of electro-mechanical systems. May be working with hand tools on a regular basis; machine shop experience a plus.

Should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Candidate should be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and new priorities in a timely manner.

Responsibilities/Duties
Upkeep/PM of manufacturing lab machines and equipment
Training and assisting technicians on the production line
Evaluates and troubleshoots all machines
May work closely with R&D, Instruments, and Chemistry departments
Writes and implement SOP’s, IQ, OQ, PQ, and machine specifications
Other related duties as assigned

Proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to understand computer programming highly desired
Experience in diagnostics or medical/clinical lab a plus
Ability to create and give presentations on current & future projects
SolidWorks experience highly desired

Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with 0-2 years related experience in the field.
