Profile: Neighborhood Healthcare

Founded in 1969, Neighborhood Healthcare is an award-winning organization that is known for excelling at its mission. A private, non-profit 501(c)(3) community health organization, it employs 400 staff members, and provides medical, dental and behavioral health care and wellness promotion to 65,000 people annually in 214,500 visits. Thirty-five percent of those served are children ages 15 and under.  Our brand new Pediatrics clinic will open June 18, 2007 in Escondido.

Neighborhood Healthcare began as an all-volunteer neighborhood clinic in Escondido and now has ten health centers located throughout San Diego and Riverside counties. Neighborhood Healthcare is regarded as a caring and compassionate place that helps those most in need. Throughout the years the mission has remained the same to provide quality health care and wellness promotion to all members of our communities, focusing on those most in need.
