Job Description

Utilizing basic metrology, the QA Inspector B performs mechanical inspection of&molded and non-molded components&to ensure conformance to specification through the use of precision inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, plug gauges and automated and non-automated vision systems.&This role will interpret engineering drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and quality requirements to determine the quality and reliability of products and manufacturing processes. The QA Inspector&performs First Article and Process Capability inspection, Receiving Inspection, and quality audits and attends project related meetings&with engineering groups in support of the QA Inspection function.&

Requires good written and verbal communication skills in English and practical use experience with MS Word, Excel, and Access. Must possess basic mathematical skills including an understanding of addition and subtraction of decimals, and reading of decimal places. Must be able to calculate sums and products of positive and negative numbers, squares, square root, and basic rounding techniques. Must have ability to read blueprints and be able to use precision measuring equipment for inspection purposes. Identify potential inspection errors such as bias, fatigue, flinching, distraction, etc.
