Job Description

In this Field Merchandising Analyst position, you will be working on a team that supports Beer, Wine, and Spirits categories on a Regional Basis. As a Merchandising Analyst, you will have responsibility for pricing analysis, promotional planning, proofing, and margin analysis. The Merchandising Analyst position is essential for successfully maintaining and strategizing merchandising operations for our Beer, Wine and Spirits categories.

The specific responsibilities of the Merchandising Analyst will include:

Assisting in the execution of Merchandising Planners and Monthly Liquor Planners
Working with cross functional teams and other Merchandising teams to achieve the Merchandising strategic vision and to deliver category goals.
Analyzing sales, gross margins, GMROII, and SKUs for assigned states and optimizing these categories to meet strategic category goals.
Developing Advertising and Promo retail Plans for assigned states including gross margin, with oversight of the Liquor Market Manager.
Managing Direct to store Tool for Promotions - data entry and zone management
Communicating and maintaining relationships with category suppliers and other vendors.
Optimize SKU assortment mix, sales, and gross margin and the achievement of sales and gross margin for the category, as it relates to the strategic plan.
Developing a deep understanding of the Stores through regular store visits.
Understanding the State Liquor Laws for area of responsibility.
Working with Alcohol vendors to maintain data and cost integrity.

Required Qualifications
1+ year of experience in a merchandising, analyst, or purchasing role in the retail industry
1+ year experience using MS Word, Power point, Excel

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in grocery industry preferred
- Experience in purchasing Beer, Wine, and Spirits is preferred.

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
