The position is a Pre-Sales Security Solutions Architect opportunity supporting our Business Development division based out of San Diego, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to be a member of a growing tech-savvy sales team. This is a strategic role designed to work with Pre-Sales teams and the hands-on Security team. The ideal candidate will have worked in a Pre-Sales role in the past and/or worked as Security Solutions Architect in the past with specific exposure to one of the following Security Technologies (Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, Checkpoint, Cisco, Sophos, RSA, or Watchguard).

Description
We are currently looking to add to our technical pre-sales support organization a Security Pre-Sales Architect to support sales reps and end user customers. The primary objective of this role is to provide technical pre-sales support to customers and sales reps on key Security vendor solutions. Preference given for experience in key vendor solutions such as Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, Checkpoint, Cisco, Sophos, RSA, or Watchguard. This position requires familiarity, and experience in the planning, design, and deployment of security software and hardware solutions.

Requirements
5-10 years experience in the security market designing, and delivering solutions
Possess technical certification for major security vendor solutions, such as Symantec, McAfee
In depth knowledge of security policy best practices, and deployment strategies
Previous experience in a pre-sales, and post sales role specifically on security
In depth experience in network access control, intrusion prevention, and endpoint management
Excellent written and oral skills
Strong understanding and experience in all aspects of the security market and landscape
Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting sales reps, sales managers to define, position, and present a range of security vendor solutions to customers across North America
Participate in customer facing meetings to determine customer business and technical requirements that will be used to develop solutions that map to Softchoice’s capabilities.
This will be a pre-sales position, with no post sales responsibility other than solution support.
Developing and maintaining the vendor relationships, and regularly engaging the local vendors for assistance, support and opportunity mapping as necessary.
Obtain, and maintain sales and technical certifications on key security vendor solutions
Lead customer technical sessions, both white board and power point, around potential and proposed security solutions.
Organize and lead sales training sessions around security technologies as appropriate
Elevate the level of knowledge within the sales team around security technologies, sales techniques and win strategies for the assigned sales territory
Serve as a key contact for the security vendor community currently aligned at Softchoice
Act as the sales leader for the security category by driving revenue and gp plan attainment
Leverage internal tools, resources, systems, such as CRM to effectively perform role
Be highly available and responsive reps and end user customers
Support the pipeline management of key sales opportunities
