Responsibilities include:
• Repairs, troubleshooting and material assessment of CRF 78-foot patrol boats (MKVI) equipment in accordance with OEM specifications for make and model to include but not limited to:
• Hamilton Waterjet Model HM651: Recommended
• Hamilton Jet Marine Propulsion Units Product Manual
• MTU Diesel Engine or Detroit Diesel Engine: Recommended
• MTU 16V2000 M94 Diesel Engine Technical Manual
• Westerbeke 33KW EDE D-NET Generator: Recommended
• Westerbeke 33KW EDE D-NET generators
• Certified in Air Conditioning (AC) & Refrigeration (R) Recommended

Education/Qualification for Marine Mechanic:
•Must have experience with general marine propulsion and or power generation experience in operations, maintenance, repair, or inspections.
•A minimum of 5 of the 10 years of experience will be in specialized marine propulsion or power generation, maintenance, repair or inspection experience at the engineer, technician, planner, designer, foreman, or quality assurance level concentrating on the speci?c application.
•Have extensive knowledge of technical requirements required to maintain and service the aforementioned CRF Marine equipment.
•Ability to identify complex problems and solutions relating to the Marine level of effort.
•Ability to coordinate program requirements, subcontractors, and employees.
•Ability to provide direction to subordinates.

Serves as the primary point of contact (POC) for problem resolution and liaison with Government and Diesel Engine Inspectors. Ensures contract deliverables are accurately and timely submitted. Is given the authority to make decisions relating to Expeditionary Equipment Readiness Services Support program.

Considered subject matter expert in technical specialty. May work directly with customer or customer representatives, attend meetings and deploy for special projects. Ability to manage, oversee, schedule and assign tasks to one or more multiple jobs. Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs. Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels. May ride ships at sea for extended periods. May require wearing a respirator. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.

Basic Qualifications
HS education or Trade School + 10 years of related experience, to include specific systems expertise. 7 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or marine engineering.
