The IACUC Research Specialist is a member of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Program team of professionals. The incumbent will support TSRI’s commitment to maintaining compliance with various federal regulations regarding animal research and teaching activities. Specifically, this position will provide support and direction to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) on a daily basis. This individual will be one of the recognized institutional experts on regulatory requirements regarding animal care and use and is expected to provide advice and guidance regarding regulatory and policy requirements for the institutions animal care and use Program.

This position works in other than a typical office environment which may include offices, laboratories, and vivariums. With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to sit and type at a computer terminal for up to 8 hours per day with appropriate breaks and perform tasks that require fine dexterity and repetitive motions using the arms, hands, wrists and fingers. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.

* Bachelor’s degree in a life science or similar field preferred or the equivalent education and experience.
|Compensation:||$58,531-$73,174 per year budgeted hiring range.|
