The Autonomous Design Center of Excellence in San Diego,CA has an opening for a Network Engineering Manager to join ourteam of qualified, diverse individuals. As the Network Engineering Manager you will manage a team ofengineers that are working in development, production, andoperational support activities across multiple business areas.  TheNetwork Engineers you manage will work on High Altitude, Long EndurancePlatforms.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide functional management for a team of networkengineers.

  • Functional tasks include providing performance feedback,organizing specialty training, career development, mentoring, andproviding technical direction.

  • Serve as the focal point for all NetworkEngineering activity within the Department for both current and newbusiness.

  • Developing technical breadth and depth within the NetworkEngineering specialty.

  • Responsible for ensuring proper staffing levels aremaintained.

  • Work with Product Managers to define product roadmaps.
  • Reviewing proposals and new business opportunities.
  • Participating in Independent Review Teams.
  • Collaborating with key industry partners




  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accrediteduniversity.

  • Must have 5 years of networkengineering experience.

  • A current active DoD SecretClearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top SecretClearance and Special Program Access is required for this position.


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance 
  • Extensive experience with network systems
  • Proven success as a team lead
  • Project Management experience such as Earned Value Management (EVM), proposal estimating, and scheduling
  • Functional Management Experience
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to include written and verbal communication
  • Experience executing the engineering project life cycle, including: requirements analysis, design, development, integration, validation, verification, and sustainment
  • Demonstrated success in leading, collaborating, and developing cross functional teams of varying degrees of skill on complex technical projects
