Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Staff Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

      

The selected candidate will work closely with the Global Hawk Program Team in various engineering functions, and suppliers to ensure the overall system meets all performance requirements and resolving technical and programmatic issues as they arise.

      

Essential Functions:

  • Technical Lead within the Advanced Development & Mission Solutions organization responsible for initial development and architecture of new capabilities and system improvements across the Global Hawk system.

  • Technical Lead for advanced demonstration of new products and capabilities.

  • Technical Lead for development of future system and subsystem roadmapping.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, software engineers, hardware designers, and test engineers. 



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 

•  Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and at least 14 years of engineering experience or a Master's Degree in STEM with 12 years of engineering experience OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 9 years of engineering experience

•  An active DoD Secret

    

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

•  An MS degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) is preferred. 

•  Experience in the Architecture, Design, and Development of the Global Hawk System
