This opportunity is open only to candidates who have been PRE-QUALIFIED for the Elementary School Assistant (ESA) position. Pre-qualified candidates must complete an online employment application to be considered.
Pre-qualified candidates are individuals who have applied for the Elementary School Assistant - Pre-qualified Pool and have successfully passed the requirements/exam process within the last three years. To apply for the Pre-Qualified Pool, candidates must apply for the opportunity when it becomes available on the District's job board. Candidates must be pre-qualified prior to the close date of any site specific recruitment to which they apply. This is a promotional/open opportunity, which means that current monthly-salaried employees receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible list.
For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal applicants will be provided unless there is an insufficient number and then the list will be supplemented with the top external applicants to make up the ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the San Diego Unified School District: Article 2, Section 9).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to five years of experience in planning, organizing, and directing non-instructional activities in an educational, community, or related program.

Indicate on the application if you have unpaid volunteer or internship experience (unpaid work experience does not satisfy the minimum experience required to qualify for a position). The length of time you worked in each position or assignment must be clearly shown. If you have worked in a temporary (TOC) position, please include the job title, school/department and employment dates for each assignment. A resume may be attached, but not substituted for completing the work history and education sections of the employment application.
