Provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
Provides supplemental staffing services to system facilities under the direction of the Senior Director, System Wide Resource Services in collaboration with system hospital leadership, Vice President, Nursing/Chief Nurse Executive and/or designed representative. Works collaboratively with system wide resource team to ensure provision of supplemental staffing services in accordance with philosophy and expectations of System Wide Resource Services. Provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice, in accordance with hospital policies and in accordance with standards of nursing practice. Functions under the oversite of the respective service/department as assigned. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision and works collaboratively to ensure optimal patient care. They must demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, be team focused and have the ability to work independently in challenging and fluid clinical environments. They will serve to work across the system to provide guidance in the identification, development and implementation of 'system best practices'. They will work proactively with system wide leadership in promoting the Scripps Professional nurse persona.
THIS IS A SCRIPPS INTERNAL TRAVEL TEAM. MUST HAVE OPEN FLEXIBILITY TO WORK DAYS OR NIGHTS.
Based on business needs and as part of the One Scripps vision, you may be required to work in a similar department at sites across the system. Scripps strategic plan envisions a central staffing pool that will provide staff across the system as needed. Your position may be transitioned from a unit or site based position to a system based and require you to work at sites across the system wide Resource Pool guidelines.
Basic Qualifications (Required): Current California RN license.
Minimum Qualifications (Required): Must have ONE year of acute care RN experience in DOU/TELE. BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required by start date. Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English, excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree. Travel experience within specialty; system wide float/prn experience preferred.
